Course Objective: To impart the knowledge of the basic Kudmali linguistics. To explain the main features of Kudmali Linguistics along with its development. To discuss about the linguistic features of Kudmali, Dialects, Kudmali vocabulary, its origin and development.
Learning Outcome: After completion of the course the students will be able to: Know the basic Kudmali linguistics. Learn the main features of Kudmali Linguistics and its development. Learn the linguistic features of Kudmali, Dialects, Kudmali vocabulary, its origin and development.

Phonetics and Phonology of Kudmali: Production of speech sounds; Vowels and consonants; Long and short vowels; Diphthong and triphthong; The phonemes of Kudmali and their representation in various scripts; Bangla, Devnagari, IPA, etc.; Characteristics of Kudmali Phonology; Intonation in Kudmali; Problems/Challenges in phonemic representation of Kudmali and analysis.
Morphology: Morphemes in Kudmali; Free and bound morphemes; Lexical and functional morphemes; Derivational and inflectional morphemes; Morphological description; Morphs and allomorphs; Word-building process (with special emphasis on Suffixation, Prefixation and Reduplication in Kudmali); Borrowing of words.
