Course Objective: To give the idea of short story. To study some stories of importance in Kudmali literature. To explain the significance of the literary movements of the writers & background of the Kudmali short stories.

Learning Outcome: The course outcomes noted below are expected after completion of this course: The students will learn about the short stories, their aims and contribution in literature and society. The student will read and learn some beautiful short stories in Kudmali literature of modern period. Explains the significance of the literary movements of the writers & background of the Kudmali short stories.

A brief introduction to general and Kudmali short story. Elements of short story. Objectives and trends of Kudmali short story. Some well-known Kudmali short story writers. The selected short stories are given below:
